Nevaris is a musician, visual artist, and entrepreneur from New York City. He has multigenerational roots in both New York City, and the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles where his family has lived since the 1940’s. He is of Mexican and European heritage. His upcoming album release, “Reverberations,” produced by Bill Laswell, is due in early 2023 on Laswell’s MOD Reloaded label.

Nevaris, born Agustín Emilio Crawford is the son of classical pianist M. Nevárez and Opera singer/photographer R. Crawford. He is married to dancer/choreographer S. Frederick. His older brother Alejandro Juárez Crawford is known for his work as a poet and co-founder of RebelBase. He took his stage name Nevaris after he started playing shows in New York City and seeing his mother’s last name misspelled on some correspondence. His great uncle Adelberto (Del) Acosta wrote the book Chicanos Can Make It about the family’s journey to the united states from Mexico. (The publisher picked the title, which Del hated.)

As a musician Nevaris is known for his work with Loud Apartment, Nolej Records, and the Uncomun Festival. He has worked with artist such as Rock and Roll Hall of Fame keyboardist Bernie Worrell, producer/bassist Bill Laswell, DJ Logic, and many others from around the world.He has produced songs for Garrison Hawk AKA Hawkman, and Imany Mladao.

As an entrepreneur and technologist he is a co-founder of Tangible Creative, a 3D Printing and Industrial Design company. He is credited for helping to create the first fully 3D printed sneaker on the market. He also is a co-founder of Covid Maker Response, which distributed tens of thousands of units of PPE to hardest hit hospitals during the peak of the Covid-19 crisis in New York.

Nevaris has taught courses on entrepreneurship and marketing at NYU, The Parsons School of Design, and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Nevaris has a degree in Design and Technology from the Parsons School of Design.
